Sheep River Provincial Park
Another set of photos for y'all! This time they're from Sheep River Provincial
Park, a lovely place to go hiking, or if you're like me with less-than-fantastic
joints you're in luck because the falls are near parking, plus there's plenty of
shorter trails. The highlight of this little outing was probably the tiny
chipmunk I saw, which was literally three inches (including tail) long.
The water from Sheep River is stunningly clear, but it's quite chilly. The
ambient temperature was in the high 20s(℃) but the water felt akin to ice
water. Definitely not the best to swim in unless you've got a heart of ice.
Plenty of butterflies were in the area (I saw about seven different kinds,
didn't get photos of all of them), as well as some bighorn sheep.

All in all, this is a great place to visit if you're looking for some nature and peace. The roads are closed in the winter, so it's a summer-only trip, and I recommend going earlier in the morning to beat the worst of the heat and to avoid any tourist-y crowds that may appear.
